Data We Collect

• Location data: when you grant location permission, used exclusively to show nearby chicken stands and calculate real-time distance.
• Search queries and app interactions: needed to provide map display, search, stand details, user reporting, and moderation features.
• Account identifiers: username, optional email address, role, authentication sessions, and profile data if you create an account.
• User submissions: stand reports, corrections, ratings, reviews, price notes, claim requests, contact messages, and uploaded photos.
• Analytics data: page views, browser and device information, approximate region, referrers, and website interactions collected through Google Analytics.
• Technical logs: request metadata, timestamps, error information, and security events needed to operate, optimize, and protect the service.

How We Use Data

• Provide nearby search, interactive map display, turn-by-turn directions, stand details, and opening-hour schedules.
• Review, moderate, publish, correct, and protect community-submitted stand data.
• Operate accounts, secure authentication, reviewer/admin workflows, and owner contact flows.
• Understand aggregate usage patterns, feature adoption, traffic sources, and reliability signals.
• Diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and maintain strict infrastructure security.
• Respond promptly to support, correction, owner claim, and data deletion requests.

Sharing and Processors

We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising. Approved public contributions may be visible in the app as stand information, ratings, reviews, price notes, or photos.

Trusted service providers may process data for hosting, storage, email delivery, maps, geocoding, analytics, and security. Google Analytics may receive usage and device data for analytics. Google Maps and related APIs receive map and geocoding requests needed to render map tiles and compute routes.

Location and Photos

Location permission is completely optional and used only while the app is active. Photos are collected only when you choose to upload them for stand reports, corrections, reviews, or contact requests. Approved photos become public stand content.

Retention

Account data is retained while your account remains active. Approved stand data may be retained as public map information. Pending, rejected, or moderation-related records may be retained where needed for abuse prevention, auditability, service integrity, or operational troubleshooting.

Account and Data Deletion

You can request account and associated personal data deletion at any time via guugli.ch/account-deletion or by emailing [email protected] from the email address associated with your account.

We delete or anonymize account credentials, authentication sessions, profile identifiers, and personal account data.

Children

Güügli is not directed to children. Do not create an account or submit personal data if you are not old enough to use online services under the laws that apply to you.

Security & Encryption

Güügli enforces HTTPS encryption in transit, strict Content Security Policy (CSP), and robust access controls for account, moderation, and administration features.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy as Güügli evolves. Material changes will be clearly reflected on this page with an updated modification date.
